You are probably aware of the importance of having breakfast. That first meal of the day gives you energy to start your routine with energy and motivation. Having breakfast in the morning improves your metabolism, and your organism becomes better at absorbing the healthy ingredients in your food. All of these things help you to lose weight and if that is your aim, the healthy diet is very important.

The perfect meal in the morning needs to contain a large amount of protein and fibers since they keep you full for a longer time. The key thing is to keep your menu very diverse since including foods which contain different vitamins and minerals will make you healthy and improve the strength of your immune system. You should avoid simply carbohydrates and focus on the complicated ones because the ladder provides you with energy for a longer period of time.

If you usually skip breakfast in the morning because you think you have no time to prepare something healthy, you are wrong. In order to cook a tasty and healthy meal you need only about ten minutes and some of them you can even eat while you are going to school, lectures or work. There are many easy recipes and ideas for a good breakfast. Use your imagination, think of things you really like and experiment in the kitchen!

We are going to offer you some inspiration with a few good ideas for breakfast options:

  • Oatmeal is one of all fitness junkies’ favorite foods! It is a great source of complex carbohydrates and fibers. You can use both milk and yogurt to prepare it and add whatever fruits you want: bananas, berries, even apples. We speak from personal experience when we tell you that they keep you full for a very long time! Seeds are also another option: pumpkin, chia, flax, etc. If you want your oatmeal to have a sweeter taste, add a bit of honey and you are ready in no time with a delicious and healthy breakfast!
  • If you are a fan of sandwiches, simply go for whole meal bread and avoid spreads with lots of fat. Feta cheese and vegetables (cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, and tomatoes) are a great combination! If you cannot live without meat, add a slice of bacon or ham.
  • Eggs are another great food if you are looking for a good source of protein. There are so many ways to prepare them: fried, boiled, ham and eggs, etc. Add a little mushrooms, ham, spinach, or smoked salmon and you will have an amazing omelet!
  • Banana pancakes are a good idea too. Skip the chocolate spread, of course!
  • Smoothies are one of the fastest and tastiest breakfast options. Use low-fat milk or yogurt, add fruit and/or vegetables (the Internet is full of awesome recipes) and even oatmeal! Use the blender to create a great drink you can have on the bus or in your car!
