Chocolate Cake

Let’s take a break from the sophisticated and complicated recipes and dishes. Let’s cook a traditional and favorite dessert – the Chocolate cake.

Here are the ingredients:

1 cup cooking cocoa

1 cup water

1 cup softened butter

2,5 cups sugar

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups cake flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup sour cream


The cream:

2 cups chocolate chips

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

4-5 cups confectioner’s sugar


Let’s get started:

Boil the water and dissolve the cocoa in it. Remove from the stove and let it cool. Mix the cream butter and the sugar in a large bowl until you get a light and fluffy mixture. Add the eggs on at a time and beat the mixture after each egg. Add the vanilla extract. After that the flour, the baking soda, the powder and the salt. Here comes the turn of the sour cream. Add it in small portions and beat well after each addition. And finally pour the cocoa mixture and stir well until all of the ingredients mix perfectly.

Out of this mixture you will make three layers. Bake each of them in round baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Or use this trick to know when the layer is perfectly baked: insert a toothpick into the layer and if it comes out clean, so it is ready. Let the layer cool down for several minutes before you remove it from the pan.

Melt the chocolate chips and the butter in a microwave. Stir the ingredients. Cool for 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl, where you will add the beaten sour cream and the vanilla. Add the confectioners’ sugar and beat until the cream gets light and fluffy.

Spread the cream between the cake layers and on the top. Store in the fridge and don’t overeat. Enjoy your homemade chocolate cake!
