Hair masks are a must-have beauty product which we all need in our collection because of the stressful and unhealthy lives we often lead. The drugstores are full of possible miracle-workers, but the best ones often cost too much money, and we go through one package really fast. Besides, they are full of chemicals that tend to dry out your hair sometimes and even damage it in the long term. The best part about efficient hair masks is that you can do them at home without spending any additional money! You can create them with products you can already find in your kitchen. Just mix the best ingredients that suit your hair type and use them on your head! The best thing about DIY hair masks is that you are sure what they contain and they are completely fresh. After all, brands include things like honey, coconut oil or olive oil in their masks, so on their own and in their purest forms , these ingredients are supposed to work even better!

  • Olive Oil Mask: Olive oil is amazing when it comes to dry and damaged hair. It is highly moisturizing and its effects are visible immediately. If you have shoulder length hair, mix two tablespoons of olive oil and add a tablespoon of white vinegar and an egg. The proteins in the egg will strengthen your hair and it will also add a good degree of shine to it. the white vinegar will also add some glamour to it. after you have mixed the ingredients, apply them to dry hair and wait for about twenty minutes. Afterwards, wash your hair thoroughly and condition it as usual.
  • Banana Hair Mask: If your main problems in the hair department are a little dryness and frizziness, choose this option. It leaves an amazing aroma in your hair and makes it shiny, fresh and more manageable. Squish a banana and add a tablespoon of olive oil and three spoons of mayonnaise. Apply the mask on dry hair and focus on the roots. After you wait for thirty minutes, wash your hair thoroughly. You will not believe how effective this can be, especially if you have recently dyed your hair!
  • Strawberry hair mask: This masks has great deep conditioning properties and refreshes your hair. It leaves it soft, shiny, smooth and detangled. Squish eight strawberries and add two tablespoons of mayonnaise for extra shine. Blend them to form a paste. Apply it generously to wet hair and leave it on for about fifteen minutes (you can exfoliate or shave meanwhile!). Afterwards, shampoo as usual. Not to mention the fragrance is incredible!
